MEET CAMERON
Cameron is a coach, keynote and TEDx speaker, author, and founder and CEO of The Flow Centre.
Cameron has been a junior British tennis player and awarded the Outstanding Academic Achievement Prize for reports surrounding flow and performance. Cameron has coached numerous World Champions, leaders, entrepreneurs, and high profile military personnel.
Fascinated by experience, optimal performance, and innovation, Cameron gives immersive talks that help others understand how they too can integrate optimal experiences into their life. Through personal experience, client case studies, and a synthesis of cutting edge research, Cameron’s talks are compelling and fascinating.
Cameron has given talks at governing bodies, SXSW, corporations, schools, TEDx, and graduation ceremonies, and many sciecntific conferences (E.g., FESAC, ECPP).
Cameron has had a varied and impressive career to date. Starting out as an international athlete, Cameron experienced some of the world's best intensive training centres in America and the UK. Cameron went on to play three world championships, reach the UK finals, and represent the UK in junior tennis before stopping due to injury.
Fascinated by optimal experience, Cameron studied Sports Psychology at postgraduate level and is focusing on flow within his PhD (University of Western Australia and PAHL Group), whilst publishing multiple academic articles on flow. His work includes advancing the theory of flow and developing the Psychological Flow Scale (PFS). He has been awarded the Outstanding Academic Achievement Prize. Cameron founded and chairs a global flow research group that aims to bring cohesion and advancement to flow science; and founded a bi-annual Flow Conference that brings together professionals working within the field of flow and optimal functioning to bridge the science and practice of optimal living.
Cameron is a qualified Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), holds a post-graduate certification in Business and Personal Coaching, and numerous certifications in a range of coaching and professional development domains.
Cameron has been a successful entrepreneur for over 15 years. Alongside his coaching endeavours, he founded and managed a UK adventure sports tour operator, Active Adventures Ltd, before selling the company and starting a digital agency in Perth, Australia that serviced leading industry brands such as Jeep, Explore! and The Music Run. In 2013, Cameron founded The Flow Centre to put flow in the public eye.
In sport, Cameron has helped athletes become the world’s best, working with over ten World Champions. In business, he has helped CEO’s become impactful leaders, change their culture, and conduct mergers. In education, Cameron has helped schools cultivate a culture that allows both teachers and children to excel in their learning.
